Can you help me make quilts for an Earthquake Family??

I know a few families who have lost their homes in the recent earthquake and I really want to do something practical to help them. I thought I would make some quilts, but that is a big job, so I thought I'd see if anybody wants to help. If you could make a red or blue block 12.5 inches square in any design you like and post it to me, then I will make them up into Quilts. What do you think? anybody interested??

  3. I'll definitely make a few for you. I'm not really good at whole quilts, but 12.5 inch squares I can definitely do.

I don't have a blog but if you can let us know where to post........

I am sure bloggers and non bloggers alike would love to get on board for such a worthwhile cause...

Hope that is of some help...I'm sure if I hunt around I can find something to send you...

It seems such a small way to be able to help... :)

    Kind regards Chris

  18. I have a quilt that is already made, it was made by my daughters year 5 class for their World Vision Child, but it was classed as a luxury item and sent back to us. It will need a bit of adjusting, as we appliqued the childs name on it, but if you think you can use it, even if it is just the squares we would love to pass it on. I have just been waiting for a good home for it. I would really like to drop it off to you as posting it will be expensive to post. My e-mail is southernlatifs@xtra.co.nz can you contact me so we could arrange for me to drop it off it you want it.
