Things I am thankful for today....

The four loaves of bread we are allowed per family!

Clean drinking water!
Peach and Cinnamon Muffins warm from my oven

Mushrooms to cook with butter and garlic
A beautiful camilia flower that Archie brought me
for my birthday yesterday.

Tell me, do...
what are you thankful for today??

  1. Happy Birthday gorgeous girl!
I hope that in the midst of the chaos, you had a little celebration.
Its corny, but I am grateful for my beautiful farmer boy. He balances me and reminds me of what is important when I need it. He is pretty divine as well.
    Thinking of you. X

  5. I can't believe you kept your birthday a secret - now you are going to have to wait for ages for me to make you a present! You naughty thing. Tell me why are you only allowed 4 loaves of bread? I didn't realise we were on rations. Today I am grateful for chocolate and chocolate self-saucing pudding that doesn't take long in the microwave. xx

  6. Definitely clean drinking water Deb and yes we got bread today also. Couplands will allow you 10 loaves, not that we need that many but your family is bigger, so worth story in the memory bank. I am also grateful that the family understands when I loose the plot and yell at them at the moment, things aren't as bad as they seem-whew!!!

  8. Happy Birthday, even if it is a bit belated... I know that I haven't commented but I wanted to let you know that I've been thinking of you recently with all the 'quakes. Praying you are all doing well and that Annie-Rose is on the mend! Is she teething per chance? Two of our boys had very unsettled tummies when they were teething (threw up ALL the time and ran fevers...). Our eldest son had issues of some sort with his tummy whenever he got a tooth until he was school age.

    Well you take care now!!

  14. I am thankful for so many things...my hard-working husband, my free time, my family, this gorgeous weather we have had these past few days. The list could go on. Good on you for still managing to bake some warm goodies for your family in such a stressful time! I'm sure they are very thankful for such a wonderful Momma.

  15. Happy belated birthday! (yeah I'm terrible with birthdays even though we have four August/September birthdays in 3 weeks - my sister then me then hubby then my brother) I know there are still aftershocks happening but I hope you've stopped feeling them and had time to relax on your birthday
