Holding them in our hearts...

The candle is burning on the table today. There is a remembrance service in Westport for the families and friends of the 29 miners who died at the Pike River mine 13 days ago. It's just so sad and so hard for the families.
Our hearts go out to them,
our thoughts and our prayers.
We hold silence in our hearts for them
at in half an hour today.

"He sent me to preach good news to the poor,
heal the heartbroken...and to comfort all who mourn,
To care for the needs of all who mourn in Zion,
give them bouquets of roses instead of ashes,
Messages of joy instead of news of doom..."

  1. It is just such a sad time for the families and NZ as a whole isn't it?

  2. From all this sadness has come a tighter, closer family that goes by the name of "The West Coast". The service was held in Greymouth under a bright blue sky and in the ampitheatre of nature.
