Groundhog Day

So weird to be doing all this again.

I've been in and out of these shops since I was 7. I brought the fabric for my first quilt here and the wool for my first jersey here.

I've had all my bikes fixed here and brought 10 cent lolly mixes here.

Now it's just a pile of rubbish. We heard these shops fall down.

We are ok but when will it end. It's tiring really.

  1. My thoughts are with you and your family Deb. Your title is unfortunately very apt :( Hearing buildings fall down must be so scary. Hoping it ends very soon for you.

  5. Goodness, we hear so much about the CBD but to see neighbourhoods like that, just heartbreaking :(

  6. It is tiring. . . so tiring. I think that's the best description of it I've heard really. I don't even find it particular scary any more, it just makes me sad and more and more tired. Christchurch will always be my home city, but I admit I'm looking forward to getting out of it for a week or two after exams.

Went thru your way while visiting and it still shocks.
Maybe because these are REALLY the end of an era.
