SPRING has been cancelled for the time being...

Look what we woke up to this morning!
Thick thick thick powdery snow.
The snow is the icing on the quake, lol.

Even the Grinch has snow.
Do you want a sno coke with those shakes??
Hahahaha, only in Christchurch

Today we will be tucked up inside in the warm
(luckily we have power)

Baking and making soup
(why does the cold make you want to cook?)

Enjoying the view from the window
and hoping it goes fast.

Playing lots of indoor games.
Luckily I have a good stash eh! ahem.

I'm going to whip round now and tidy up
and then I'm going to drag the sewing machine out to the living room
and finish up some clothes for Annie.

  2. Why does snow always look so pretty? One day I'll get to experience 'snowing' but in the mean time I'll continue to experience the rain and wind and 'Auckland' cold.
Praying your power stays on .. .. ..
    Keep warm xxx

  3. It looks so lovely with snow on everything & how nice to be baking & sewing today. I would also like to send a big thank you to you for organising the Thrifty Tin Swap. I was lucky enough to be paired up with Miriam and we both had a lot of fun putting together our tins to swap. You can see the tins on our blogs : )

  6. Wishing I had snow!! We have the heat and humidity. You know it is hot outside when you go into a rental house that is all closed up, no A/C on thermostat reads 92°F and it feels cool. Enjoy it while it lasts, it is always so pretty and relaxing.
