Gradually we have unpacked all the boxes (we aren't talking about the garage)
and sorting where we want to put everything.
We pretty much rearranged every room and got rid of truckloads
of rubbish and stuff.
It's just so nice to be home,
but it will be even nicer when we don't have to spend every spare moment
sorting and tidying and putting away.
There's still a lot of stuff going on outside,
but the end is in sight.
I love having a pantry.
The kitchen needed fixing back to the walls,
so when they took it out, we took the liberty of rearranging it
and putting in a pantry. All that will be finished next year.
There's a couple of wee Christmas garlands hanging,
but that is really as Christmassy as it's getting.
I do love these wee shelves David built for my teapots.
And having little spots of tidiness here and there.
I'm also extremely grateful to have a study at last.
I'll just leave you with this lovely photo of us taken on the weekend.
It's been a long and extremely difficult year, but we made it to the end.
I'm going to take a bloggy break now for a few weeks.
I hope you and yours have a lovely Christmas
and keep safe over the holiday season.
Lots of love from me to you xoxox

ReplyDeleteOH Deb,
ReplyDeleteHere it is the beginning of February and I am just now commenting. What a truly beautiful picture of you and all your lovelies! My how James has grown! I've been praying for you all. Trust me when I say it can be so hard to parent young men.... with our eldest being 20 (and now on his own living hundreds of miles away), the middle 17 (leaving for the Army, following in big brother & dad's footsteps in June), and my "baby" at 14... well lets just say it isn't all roses and sunshine. We've had our hard times... things i just can't post about. but i still wanted you to know i've been thinking of you!
