Yesterday I worked so hard in the library at uni on an assignment
that I think I broke my brain, even after a night's sleep my head still hurts.
Tomorrow it is meant to rain with the tail end of Cyclone Lusi,
so I decided to take the kids to the gardens for a play,
an icecream and a scoot about in the fresh air.
I took my reading and a quilt and my knitting,
and I sat on the quilt and did my reading (but not my knitting)
and sat in the fresh air keeping my eye on the kids.
I feel so stretched this year,
it's not just studying, it feels like the universe has decided to upend a whole bunch
of stuff for me to deal with. It is exhausting.
I'm trying to just learn to be in the moment,
to stop and admire the wonderful colours of autumn
and take a deep breath.
I know everything will work out in the end,
and I have faith in the process,
even though it feels so raw and open.
And above all I'm super grateful for the special people who love us
and are supporting us as we fumble our way forward.
I sure hope you don't get what we are getting with the weather....you have had enough down south!
ReplyDeleteLife is full of potholes & bends.........sometimes it feels like the road doesn't let you take a breather.....it will though, hang in there.
