He picked the fabric. We found out her favourite colour was aqua and we were going to do aqua and pink but somehow the water monster needed a bit of black!
I think it turned out really good. It was great that Reuben did such a lovely drawing that was so easy to embroider.
Um, it's apparently 8 weeks till Christmas! 8 weeks, no really? surely it's longer. I think I'm going to have to up the ante a bit. I think I'll have to make two presents a week. Oh help me!!! How are you going?? I know Annabel and Holly are doing fantastic, and some others like Kylie are coming along too. Keep up the good work girls {insert cheerleading waves here} you know you can do it!!!
Kylie I'm picking you as my winner this week. Contact me with your address! By the way it's come to my attention that a bunch of parcels I posted in the beginning of September are just finding their way home. I can't believe it took so long, I suspect the earthquake must have done something to the mail sorting centre. Sorry about that, and please let me know if you are expected a parcel from me and I'll tell you how it's doing! I posted to MaryAnne, Annabel and Peggy yesterday. I still owe Jessica a parcel, I'll get that sorted this week. My life has been a bit mad lately, honestly, but I'm getting on top of the dramas I hope. If you think of us, please pray for a smooth week for us! Thanks so much.
That looks fantastic! I was thinking of doing something similar for my the owner of the preschool my son goes to.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely drawing, and the bag is stunning! What a lovely gift for Reuben's teacher!
ReplyDeleteI'm very excited to get my parcel! And I've got another project to link up this week (finally!) I'm so far behind on gift-making and this is a great motivator, so thank you so much! Here's my link for this week:

Thats an awesome sea creature? The both of you should go into a business creating creature bags! I only wish I could come up with something like that.
ReplyDelete8 weeks! Seriously? I guess thats just 8 weeks closer to Christmas being finished (The only reason I say that is because I work in retail.) I suppose I should start picking out presents to make!

Reuben's sea-monster rocks! My dad was a teacher and I remember how he always loved the presents with a personal touch from his kids themselves, so I know Reuben's teacher will love it!
