There has been more earthquakes but we are ok...

As I'm sure many of you will know
Christchurch was hit by more earthquakes yesterday.
It was unbelievable really.
It feels like groundhog day.

All of us are fine,
but very very shaken
and the plans we have go out the window again
just as we thought it was safe to plan again.

I will get out and take some pictures of my neighbourhood
later this morning.
The local shops completely fell down
and I heard them.
do you know how weird it is
to hear buildings fall down??
I'll never forget that.

Or seeing my precious girl flung across
the deck by the force and not being able to get to her.

Luckily James and Annie
baked a cake before the earthquake.
Always good to have a few calories around.
Here's my wee ones camping on the deck
for a few hours in the sun till it was safe to go back in.
Lucky it was a warm day.

Please remember us in your prayers
and if you can please donate to the Red Cross.

  1. Glad to know that you and yours are ok, even if hard won plans have gone out the door.
I am sad for the destruction, both of places and ways of life.

  2. Glad to hear you and your family is ok. I was in Riccarton mall during the 5.5, very scary, but all is well here as well.
