This is another bee quilt. I was going to give it away,
but I'm afraid I have spent sooo much time on it, that I don't think I can :)
I just love how these fabrics look. I've (once again) machine quilted around the blocks
and done lots of hand quilting as well.
This is one of my favourite blocks.
And this one. I love the simplicity of it.
This is Manchester street. It's unbelievablely bad there still.
Words fail me. Really. This is eight months on.
The demolition goes on and on and on. Hundred and hundreds of buildings.
Isn't this a lovely quilt? a nice mix of traditional and modern I think.
I love the sense of humour, someone has propped this little statue up as if she is watching!
This is awesome. Kia Kaha = Be strong
Means a lot to us here in Christchurch.
It's weird, even though life is normal on the surface
we are all aware it could change in an instant.
It's the not knowing when that does your head in.
This picture says it all.
This is why I keep blogging about it.
There is still so much to be done.
Gorgeous quilt - I love how it all comes together. Just beautiful. Be strong and keep courage :)ReplyDelete

Deb I think its a great idea that you keep a lovely one of your quilts for yourself. You are such a generous person its time to be kind to yourself. xxReplyDelete
Agaib a lively quilt and it's so sad to see all those buildings, but they are WORKING for the future....ReplyDelete
Here in England I'm still thinking about you, and wondering how you manage to go about your daily lives. I so admire you for having the grit and courage to rebuild your city and your lives. My son is one of the Auckland Police who came down to do his job on both occasions. His photographs and comments were so moving.ReplyDelete
How brilliant you carry on quilting. Sending you ourvery best wishes and prayers.
