The ones where you stand and watch the boy bounce his ball in the kitchen.
The ones where you just suddenly decide that you want
Where dinner comes together easily and the family fave about it
(why does minimal effort = maximum happiness when it comes to family dinners??)
Ones where you have all the ingredients for what you want to make.
I mean whats wrong with a little butter and sugar??
Ok don't tell me, I don't actually want to know.
We took them piping hot from the tray
And wha-la the most delicious afternoon snack we've had in a long time.
Suddenly the afternoon was back on track and all was well in the world for the rest of the day!
What do you do to get your day back on track??
Must try that recipe . . . sounds amazing! Just made some Oatmeal Cake this afternoon . . . super simple and quick and delicious.
ReplyDeleteThis is why I love the holidays, when things just seem to slow down, nowhere to rush to the boys are calmer, mummy is calmer we take time to do things together and I take time to just watch them ;)
ReplyDeleteFood is love. I've always said it.
ReplyDeleteA cup of tea, a little conversation.....and a slab of soughdough bread, toasted, dripping with butter, and a wee spot of vegemite smeared across the top.
ReplyDeleteyeah, food usually does it, or a meander in the garden listening to the birds and breathing x
ReplyDeleteYUP all of that!
