And just like that the seasons changed....

Autumn is a time for change. My blog has had a make-over by the very talented Simone.
Do you like it? It's very reasonably priced and I'm thrilled to bits with it.
Of course I haven't written a post since then, but oh well,
here I am now!! Sorry about the sudden absence.

Today I've been hanging out with this kiddie,
she's loving her only child status today (David had taken Roo tramping)
we have missed each other in the busy weeks as we adjust to our new routines.

I'm loving studying at CU. I'm getting used to finding where I'm supposed to be,
and finally getting to work out how to organise my time,
I'm not going to forget my blog, it was just a matter of getting on top of things!

I've still been busy making stuff, I get up every morning at 6am
and it's amazing how much sewing I can get done in half an hour.
I'll post some pictures of this quilt on Monday.
I've made it to raffle off so you will all get a chance to win it if you like it.

Yesterday was the first day of autumn.
I feel so ready to wear a cardy and a warm scarf and boots
and to snuggle under the sofa with a quilt.

I've been making an effort when I have time
to actually focus on the person I'm hanging out with.
Annie and I had a picnic in the living room.
We made an oasis of prettiness in the chaos that is our house!

It's been an amazing summer, full of sunshine and dramas.
I'm pretty sure it's summer to go down in family history for ever.
Thank goodness it's over.

  4. I like your writing very a lot, too. As your summer ends we step ever so delicately into Spring. Thank god that this planet keeps spinning because the change of the seasons is always a good thing.

  6. It may be possible that I am the least crafty person in New Zealand. That said, I am an avid appreciator and all these beautiful quilts are certainly causing me to appreciate!
